Were you the Paris Hilton of the 80’s?
I was a teenager, and I had the opportunity to live in a amazing period, NY was to me a great chance to take. I used to go to sleep in the morning, right now I wake up every morning at 4.30 to do yoga before work.
In the last episode of season 5 House enters a psychiatric hospital. He hallucinated a very hot sex scene with your character. How important is in the show the sexual tension between the 2 characters?
It’s becoming more important every year. In the beginning you feel there’s something there, maybe something it’s happened in the past, but you don’t know. The arguments between House and Cuddy are memorable, but in the beginning, these are used to show House’s anarchy, his impatience about Cuddy’s rules.
In the same episode Cuddy goes to a marriage, when House is entering the psychiatric hospital. What is she thinking in that moment?
She still don’t know what’s happening to his friend, to the man she probably loves. What’s happened between the 2 of them lead them to a breaking point. He forces the boundaries, she doesn’t know what to think. I believe she’s depressed. She’s always alone, she’s watching 2 people she cares about getting married, and in the same moment….She thinks her moments with House weren’t exactly “romantic”.
Tell me about the sex scene.
Oh that was easy for me, well, honestly, I like it! Hugh is good looking. But a good-married looking! He was way more embarrassed than me, almost clumsy, so in the end it was strange do those scenes.
Anyone can stop House, just you maybe. Is that because of your sexy outfits, or there’s something more?
I’m much more than an antagonist for House, I’m even a enemy sometimes. But this is good because it keep the character real. The affection between us keeps everything more interesting.
There are many illness in the show. Are you an expert now?
My father was a doctor, Hugh’s father’s was and even Jesse’s father. I love doctors because I believe their work is really intriguing. But I could not do it, I’m scared by everything related to the health.
You worked in “Frasier”, “The West Wing”, you’re the transex in “Ally McBeal”. Do you think you were lucky to get these roles?
Maybe. I’ve always been able to choose the scripts I loved more, in successful series. But I think it’s because I know really well my potentiality. Many actors don’t do that, but I look in the characters something that is in myself too. If there’s something in the character that you know, you can understand it better and play it even better.
A woman who is a boss too sometimes is still strange. Do you feel privileged?
Yes, but it’s not totally true, there are many woman- bosses. I believe in talent, if you’re woman or man, it doesn’t matter. But we clearly need more women in powerful roles.
Are you envious of Cuddy in some ways?
She’s an amazing student, a nerd. I was terrible at school.
Cuddy tried to conciliate work and maternity, but in the end she has to delegate. This is a common problem….
That was difficult to play for me. Because I had to play a terrible mother, who doesn’t know what to do when her daughter cries, when she’s totally at ease when she has to rule a whole hospital.
Scary, right? But this is what happens to many women I know: they want a child, they got amazing careers, but when their baby cries they’re lost. Cuddy delegates, but not every mother can do that.
The show is a success in every country, are you scared by that?
I’m not scared by the success, but by what the success can do to people. I’m not talking about actors. I’ve been harassed by a stalker and I was terrified. Because it’s difficult to understand the limit between a passionate fan, and a sick person. It was then, when I understood the bad side of the success.
Women in tv show are everyday more strong, don’t you think so?
It’s true! You can see that in TV and in movies too. The TV fits faster the reality. There are great script for comedies and dramas. I think of Ally McBeal, when you saw for the first time a lesbian kiss. We’re far away from the stereotipe of women in the 50’s, “Happy Days” style! And let me say that: thank God! |

No jakby było po Polskiemu to bym skomentowała 
Nie no coś tam rozumiem o tych sex senach itd. No cała Lisa szczera i otwarta. Ona zawsze mówi co myśli, widać, że nie przejmuje się tym co o niej mogą pomyśleć i za tą ją kocham. Trzeba mieć odwagę, by być sobą.
Za to skomentuje zdjęcie nie wiem jak inni, ale ja taką naturalną Lisę kocham najbardziej. Jasna cera, ledwo zauważalny makijaż i rozwiane włosy. Wtedy najwyraźniej rzuca się w oczy ten jej urok osobisty

Bardzo fajny wywiad.
Tak jak Lisek wspomniał - szerość przede wszystkim. Lisa mówi o wielu sprawach, o których inni pewnie woleli by milczeć. Jak na przykład:

Good to know xD To w jakiś sposób pocieszające - że mimo swoich wszystckich cudownych cech, Lisa jest nadal człowiekiem i nie we wszystkim jest perfekcyjna.
I bynajmniej nie przemawia przeze mnie zazdrość, bo jeśli chodzi o L., nie ma we mnie absoltnie żadnej zazdrości - czysty podziw
